The hospitality, openness and love that we are met with everywhere is touching.

We arrived early for a screening in Rødding Bio (movie theatre) for 8th and 9th graders and students from Rødding Højskole (Rødding folk school). The Nature of Farming is long and information heavy and therefore not really a film for children and young people. But we still hope that it can plant some seeds in them. This school screening was financed by the Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (The Danish Society for Nature Conservation). We are currently considering working on an adaptation of the film for schools.

In the evening we showed the film at an open event supported by DN Vejen (The Danish Society for Nature Conservation in Vejen) and Vild i Vejen (local association for biodiversity protection).

We are very grateful to Birgit Brink Lorenz, who organized both screenings. She is a very passionate environmentalist who makes a huge difference locally. She and her husband housed us gracefully.

Birgit had also put together a great panel for the discussion after the film. Michael Kjerkegaard, farmer and chairman of Økologisk Landsforening (National Association of Organic Food), Svend Brodersen, farmer and owner of Gram Slot, Christian Lund, conventional dairy farmer, Marius Finnerup, high school student and activist. The debate was beautifully moderated by Erik Hansen, a conventional farmer, who was quite touched by the film.
